By public transport from Bochum Central Station
From Bochum Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), follow the signs for the underground and take line U35 towards Hustadt.
Get off at Ruhr-Universität. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes and no change is required.
After leaving the train, follow the signs for Ruhr-Universität, go up to street level and turn right. Cross the pedestrian bridge towards the university campus. From there, follow the signs for the conference venue.
Note that on Sunday 6 Sep (and possibly longer) U 35 will not stop at “Ruhr Universität”! Instead please get off at “Gesundheitscampus” or “Lennershof” and walk approx. 15 min. We will prepare signs to guide you - and of course will keep you informed on site. There will be an alternative transportation option offered, but this cannot be recommended.

Helpful Notes
- Youth Hostel Membership: The DJH Youth Hostel usually requires a DJH membership card (or international hostel card). Event organisers sometimes arrange group solutions.
- Transportation: The campus line U35 runs every 5 minutes during the day and connects Bochum Hbf ↔ Ruhr-Universität in about 9–10 minutes.
- Prices: Prices vary depending on season, weekend, trade fairs or concerts. Early booking is highly recommended.
